That's no Moon...

DAY 1: SF --> Pigeon Point Lighthouse

Miles: 50.4
Elev gain: 3,182 ft
Pint count: 2

Yea dont forget; a lot of the motivation for this trip comes from a yearning to drink a lot of dope local beers.

Today started a little slow, even for my standards (SS, here), so I can only imagine what Pat was going through. We didn't get out the door until 2:30. We hit a few early speedbumps - on mile one, PP's handlebars were at a 45degree angle from his tire. Not ideal. But once we got rollin' it turned out to be a pretty mellow day! Tons of fog, until we pulled into the Pacifica drop (home to the most beautiful Taco Bell in the world), God DAMN its gorgeous there.

After almost dying on Highway 1 climbing up south of Pacifica, we coasted on through into half-moon bay and had a great meal and a few pints at San Benitos in HALF MOON BAY.

Then we ventured on down south another 20 miles through the rolling hills of the California coast line. I'm feeling great. The views are incredible. Well, for me. Pat the diver spends a whole lot of time looking at my ass, but I think he's happy too.

Following some aching back complaints from PP (uh-oh), we arrived safe at Pigeon Point Hostel. If ya'll are ever tryna get away for a weekend, this is the spot. Chillin in the hot tub with an ocean-view a sky FULL of stars... ya just cant beat it.

This is actually where we are staying :

We met some nice eco-farm (??) folk in the hot tub who depending on who's reading this, may or may not have given us a TON of ganja to help us with our aches and pains for the rest of the trip. I'm feeling better about Pat's back already.

Anywho, thanks for reading! Much love and as always, Go Giants (16 w in last 19 are you KIDDING me!?!)

SF

SS and SP Moment of the day...
Took us about 20 minutes to figure out how to put a fitted sheet on a bunk bed.
