We had such a good time last night singing show tunes with Marilyn and Jeff! We got up in the morning to a fruitastic breakfast and then headed to church. Marilyn had asked if we would sing Dvorak's Psalm 23 at the service, and it was the least we could do to thank her for her generosity and hospitality.
After church Marilyn treated us to yet another wonderful meal.
PP's bike was having issues again, so we stopped at a bike shop to do some quick adjustments. We didn't leave Ukiah until 1:30.
The ride was great and flat and full of really nice landscapes

About halfway through the ride, I got a text from my mom saying not to eat dinner because Nancy (family friend who we were staying with in Sebastopol) had a steak dinner prepared for us!
That got us going faster. Turned out that my whole family was waiting at Nancy's house to surprise us! Very fun to see them all on the lawn when we rolled up. No one was quite as excited as the dogs, Stella and Cody, who ran down the block to greet us while my tipsy family decided against moving from their sedated positions on the grass.
Great to see my pop on Father's Day, and we all had a real nice time.

Nancy's house is beautiful and she has told us that we can stay as long as we want. She also may be the sweetest and kindest lady I know. Tomorrow (Monday) Pat and I are going to go around Sonoma County and drink. Pat is super excited to snob out at wine tastings. I like wine okay I guess, but I'm more excited to tour Russian River Brewery, home to PLINY THE ELDER rated on of the top 5 beers in the world. PUMPED!!!
I'm also excited to hang out with my old friend Stella

See you soon SF,
SF
What a grand surprise! Love that! :)
